Remembering USB Devices in VMware ESXi

To make it so USB devices do not disappear from a virtual machine in VMware ESXi (e.g. if they are unplugged from the host machine, or lose power), the autoClean option can be set to zero.

Under "Edit settings" for a virtual machine, then the "VM Options" tab, under the "Advanced" section there is an "Edit Configuration..." button.

With USB devices already attached to the virtual machine, search the "Configuration Parameters" window for autoConnect. Here's an example with two devices connected:

In the above options, I have changed the autoClean option to 0. This means that the USB devices won't be automatically cleaned up, even if they become unavailable.
