I’ve been working away for a few weeks at a PHP application that uses the audioscrobbler data services to show a user information about their last.fm account - and allows image generation based on the stats and javascript embeds of the data. I took a gamble and emailed the guys at last.fm to see if it was good enough to be featured on the last.fm build site - and it turns out it was: http://build.last.fm/item/402

The project started as a replacement for people to see what I was listening to on Windows Live Messenger, because I use my PC as a media center while I’m using my laptop for other stuff. It was a crummy idea, so I pulled it. For some reason I couldn’t leave the audioscrobbler data services alone though - they were just too interesting to not do something with. So, I opened up the site to other users - and gradually added other tabs to the application, finishing with the “Extend” tab, which has proven to be the most successful part of the site.
